Origin: Ancient India, traditionally connected with forests and temples of Lord Vishnu.

Bead Material: Made of seeds from the Vaijayanti plant (also called Job’s tears / Coix lacryma-jobi).

Bead Size: Approx. 5 mm – 8 mm.

Total Length: 28–32 inches (varies by bead size).

Beads: Traditionally 108 beads + 1 guru bead.

Leading Deity: Lord Vishnu (and his incarnations, especially Lord Krishna).

Ruling Energy: Victory, truth, dharma (righteousness), and divine grace of Vishnu.
